Award-winning Filipino actor Christopher Reyes, who is professionally known as Kristoffer King, was rushed to the intensive care unit on February 23, 2019 and passed away on the same day.
He was 36.
King was admitted at the Adventist Medical Center Manila in Pasay City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

His sister Kristina Reyes Saldanha took to Facebook to ask for help sharing a now-deleted photo of the actor in the ICU.
Details about the cause of King’s death have yet to be confirmed but he was reportedly sent to the hospital after his heart stopped beating for five minutes.
The actor is said to be diabetic and he suffered from heartburn, infection, pneumonia and sciatica.
Born on May 22, 1982, King appeared in several films by 2009 Cannes Film Festival Best Director Brillante Mendoza. The first one was “Masahista” (The Masseur), which was released in 2005.
In 2007, King starred in two films by Mendoza, namely “Foster Child” and “Tirador.”
